Boats (not just electric!) ... plus Accessories, Water Toys, Towables, and More
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 10 am on Saturday morning followed by an Open House for the remainder of Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Rochelle King, director of the Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce did the honors, assisted by Mary Ann Gasko representing the Roanoke Valley Chamber, Warren County Commissioner Ulysses Ross, Jean Watson also of the Lake Gaston Chamber, and Duffy Boats representative, Kevin Kearns, from California.
The showroom reflects substantial renovations to the building with two Duffy boat models inside - Classic 18 and Classic 21 - and a Duffy Cat 16 outside. Showroom walls were decorated with displays of local artwork by William Ward Moseley and Carl J. Kocich. Visitors were treated to refreshments, complimentary cruises on two different Duffy boat models, local musical talent of Bobby Flynn of Alberta, VA and Nicholas Hartley - on piano - and WZRU Guitar Trio from Roanoke Rapids.
Four Seasons launched their first two electric boats on Lake Gaston during Labor Day weekend last fall as phase 1 of the longer term plan to make Lake Gaston the base of operation. When asked why they chose the Duffy product line, Mr. Hartley responded, "When I researched the possible electric boat manufacturers for this business, Duffy was clearly the leader in quality, technology, design, and price. I simply love these boats."
In addition to the showroom on Lake Gaston, Four Seasons will offer full service and maintenance for their boats.
